Along with the acorn infestation, this appears to be the hatching season for lizards! We find them everywhere! The dogs love to chase them on the back deck and on the trees, so far I don't think they've caught any. We also have to watch where we step on the front porch because amongst the acorns are baby lizards playing hide-and-go-seek with each other. One lizard has found a way into the house. We catch him and put him back outside, but within a few days he has returned. We're pretty sure he's the same one. I really don't mind the lizards in the house at all. Infact, I'm trying to convince John that we should breed them and allow them free roam of the house to eat all the spiders and insects that I so badly despise. ha! I'm kidding...sort of.

Then
During the last few weeks of pregnancy, Kate listened to Brad Paisley's new song "Then". She didn't just listen to it a few times, she obsessively played the song on repeat, learned every word, and sung it at the top of her lungs while driving. Then one day a few weeks after Kaylee was born, Kate was driving with Kaylee by themselves. Kaylee began to cry...then scream. It didn't matter how much Kate reassured her, pulled over to make sure something wasn't wrong, or attempted to hold the pacifier in place with one arm backwards while driving. It finally occurred to Kate that maybe Kaylee wants mommy to sing to her (although no one else would want this!). So Kate put track #4 on and began to sing. Kaylee immediately calmed down. Low and behold, it's not even mommy's singing that Kaylee likes! It's Brad's!

So weird how they're a totally different color than our lizards. I mean you would think a lizard is a lizard but yours are way more green then ours.
And I'm glad I'm not the only one who posts lizard pictures on my blog.
